In a changing world, amid heightened awareness of the environmental consequences of human activities, with ever-faster societies asking questions about how their mobility should be changing, the notion of “new forms of mobility” is emerging in the conversation. Just what are these new forms of mobility? What are their targets, practices, and traffic flows? How are they positioned with respect to the large-scale, everyday forms of mobility with which we are familiar? Will they find their place? If so, at what price? What will the impacts on sustainable mobility policy be?
