To support the French economy, badly hit by the Covid crisis, the French government has decided to launch a major recovery plan worth €100 billion, at least €6 billion of which has been earmarked for everyday transport and the rail system. Is this enough in view of the economic, social, and environmental issues bound up with the sector? How does the scheme fit in with the EU’s recovery plan?
