The ATM Group: global integrated mobility provider

ATM is the historical public transport operator serving the Milan metropolitan area (96 municipalities – 3.2 million inhabitants), with 900 million passengers (pre-Covid) and 154 million km covered every year.

ATM is #1 operator of public networks in Italy. At international level, through its subsidiary Metro Service A/S, ATM has been running and maintaining the four automated metro lines in Copenhagen (1.4 million inhabitants), and soon it will be managing the light railway lines.

ATM operates all modes of public transport: conventional and automated metro systems, bus, tram, trolleybus, cables. ATM is one of the main European operators of automated metros with more than 50 km operated and 50 stations being managed for over 10 years. The opening of line 4 in Milan between 2022 and 2024 will complete the project with 15 km of automated lines and 21 stations.

ATM's know-how covers the entire value chain of transport and mobility services: engineering (design, definition, optimization of transport networks), operations (metro, bus, tram, trolleybus, cable, centralized control rooms, etc.), maintenance (all levels: rail diagnostics and maintenance of the fleet, infrastructure and technology networks), management of payment and access control systems for low emission zones (LEZ), on-street parking and car parks, towing services, bike sharing and tourist services.
