--------------------------------------------------

RETROFLEET was founded in early 2020 by players from the energy world. From the end of 2020, RETROFLEET's activity was recognized: in fact, RETROFLEET was the winner of the ADEME "I-nov" call for projects for the RESET project (Retrofit Ecosystem for the Service of the Environment and Territories).

Since its creation, RETROFLEET has adopted a systemic
technological approach to electric mobility, taking into
account the vehicle, its operating methods and its charging
system in order to seek with its customer a complete, agile
solution adapted to their needs.

The solutions developed by RETROFLEET cover both :
- energy management solutions,
- battery design and production,
- a system architecture for mobility.
From 2023, RETROFLEET was the first European company to
obtain series approval to implement the retrofit of IVECO *
Crossway coaches. Other approvals are in progress, notably *
the MERCEDES Intouro coach.
The RETROFLEET company, a subsidiary of the CBM group, is an
automobile manufacturer and technological packager for the
electric conversion of public and private fleets. The
technological solutions that it implements with its partners are
designed and assembled in France.
In 2023, in a dynamic of proximity to its customers and
limitation of its carbon footprint, RETROFLEET has developed
partnerships, in particular with the BESSET group (today, a
subsidiary of the CBM group). This company installs conversion
kits on vehicles on behalf of RETROFLEET.

At the end of April 2024, the CBM group, the world leader in
spare parts for the coach and bus sector, became the
majority shareholder of RETROFLEET. This change in
shareholding allows RETROFLEET to benefit from CBM group
locations closer to customers in order to guarantee proximity
and responsiveness in customer relations on a larger scale.
Furthermore, it guarantees the support of a recognized
industrial group.

The solutions developed by RETROFLEET cover both : - energy management solutions, - battery design and production, - a system architecture for mobility.

To support and accelerate the strategy of Mobility Organizing
Authorities and their public and private operators in terms of
energy transition and the fight against pollution, the passenger
transport sector needs concrete, effective and economically
sustainable solutions.
New electric coaches – battery, battery/hydrogen hybrid –
present a significant price gap that is difficult to amortize,
compared to conventional thermal solutions, particularly in the
coach segment. In this context, the development of innovative
solutions that are energy efficient, easy to implement and
financially sustainable is a necessity.
The electric retrofit of vehicles, in other words the conversion of
thermal vehicles into electric vehicles, represents the most
economical solution to accelerate the carbon transition at
lower cost and within a short time frame.
