In 2024, Siemens Mobility modernized and extended the automation system on line 14 for RATP. This is a world first. This is the first time that a metro line already automated without a driver (GoA4 - Grade of Automation) has been migrated to a new, latest-generation GoA4 driverless automation system, the “Trainguard MT CBTC” from Siemens Mobility.

Siemens Mobility also finalized the complete automation of line 4 with RATP. The Group built the Train Operation Automation System (SAET) for the line and its extension to Bagneux-Lucie Aubrac, without any major disruption to passenger service.

Last but not least, as part of the project to modernize line 11 of the Paris metro, Siemens Mobility supplied the ground automation systems for the new train control system on line 11, extended by six kilometers to Rosny Bois-Perrier.
